146 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Two Measures"

For mr. M's open source class mm 462 the audio book i chose to work on was two plus two makes crazy by walter j sheldon. Added was a bit of music and some sound effects throughout.

Just a quick recording of me and a friend walking along a gravel road. Recorded with a zoom h4n recorder in stereo.

Sound of two clocks, one close and the other far from the mics, recorded with a roland r-26. Let me know if you need 4 channels (from directional and omnidirectional mics), this is a stereo mix of both.

Two empty beer bottles lightly scraping against each other. Recorded with audio-technica at2035 mic. No audio enhancements added.

My first ever field sound recording, made with diy mic and sony mz-n707 md, sp mode, mic gain set to "low". Tommorow will make some more :). Gilera runner sp50, 50 ccm 2-stroke scooter, with removed factory speed-limiters (some of them are in the exhaust). Mic was positioned maybe and inch above exhaust. At the begining automatic choke is engaged, hence the high idle revs. .

Autorickshaw: a field recording made in bangalore india, of a ride home in an autorickshaw. This was long before the days of electric autorickshaws (~year 2000), so the recording is the sound of the nasty, polluting-well-above-its-weight two-stroke petrol-engine variety. I was going home from a night out with with several friends spread out over three autorickshaws and sometimes you can hear the others in the recording. (the picture is not the actual autorickshaw in the recording, the photo is from pakistan. I didn't get a photo of the one in the recording, but you get the idea. ). Recorded on sony minidisc.

Mixture of siren sounds.

A duet of garden noisy machinery, perhaps a leaf-blower and a hedge cutter, in the garden next to ours in suburban worcester uk. In the silences between bursts of activity one can hear a some birdsong (blue tit &c. )and our little pool fountain tinkling. Sony pcm-m10.

04-21-2013 - chainsaw cutting:sunday, april 21, 2013: had to take care of some fallen trees; seemed wise to record it. This chainsaw is brand new. 45cc recording taken at a distance of 30 feet and is unfortunately tarnished at the front with an ambulance siren. Recording gear: zoom h2/n @ 44. 1k/16bit using built-in xy microphones.

Self explanatory. An empty sound for the 'two minute silence' on armistice day on 11th november each year. This sound has a creative commons 0 license: you don't need to credit me when using it.

Another sound effect for when a user clicks on an button in a menu; this one has a sci-fi effect to it. Sounds of a tape measure.

This is the sound of a tape measure from ubica lab (upf). Their research areas are enclosed within the general disciplines of ubiquitous computing, contextual intelligence and cognitive systems, using sensors and radiofrequency identificaiton (rfid).

Measuring tape: rolling up a measuring tape. Aluminium clicking. Recorded with a zoom h6 (rode ntg-2). Recorded in a room with good acoustic.

Various snaps and slides as i open and close a tape measure. Recorded with a tascam dr-40x.

Two measures of squelchy acid bass with piercing synth chords. Created in lmms, further effects applied in audacity with valhalla supermassive. 140 bpm, a flat hungarian minor.

Here are some recordings of some of my basic woodwork tools. I'll try and get better recordings in the future but i share a workshop and it is rarely quiet enough to get good recordings. All recordings are me working on a piece of 25mm thick walnut timber. Listening back has made me realise that all of these tools need sharpening!! :). The recordings are as follows:. 00:00 - 00:26stanley block plane fine shaving the edge of the timber. 00:28 - 01:33stanley 5m retractable tape measure, metal blade and plastic casing. Tape being wound out and drawn back in. 01:36 - 03:30milwaukee m12 battery drill. Trigger being pressed, chuck opening and closing and bits being changed. Drilling into timber. Driving screws into the timber and removing them again. 03:32 - 05:14lie nielsen crosscut tenon saw cutting across the grain of the timber. 05:17 - endgeneral purpose wood saw 'ripping' along the grain of the timber. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution.
